Through mindful practice, Lauren seeks integrity and wellness both on and off the mat. For her, this means leading with love and self-awareness, so we may better ourselves and the world around us. In the way asana prepares us for meditation, it prepares us to lead healthy and compassionate lives outside of the studio too.
Lauren’s mission as a public school educator is social justice from a wellness perspective. Beginning her career in a rural Title I school, she developed a keen sense of social awareness and deep compassion for community. She sees a yogic lifestyle as a way to care for teachers so they may better care for their students. To better understand yoga’s application in education, Lauren became a 200-hour Certified Yoga Teacher and B4C Wellness Champion.
She now offers SEL, wellness, and equity workshops for teachers, in addition to yoga classes for all.
When she’s not on a mat or in the classroom, you can find her hiking a trail, swimming in lakes, or snuggling with her two cats, Pancho and Margaux.
